- Poll watchers (partisan volunteers) will be allowed to sit or stand close enough to a voter to hear or see the voting activity, and it will be illegal to block their view. In fact, they will be able to sue and seek court orders against election workers who block their view.
- Poll watchers who violate any election or criminal law will not be removed until they have received a warning for the same offense. (The Texas branch of the American Civil Liberties Union calls this a “one-time get-out-of-jail-free card for voter intimidation.”)
- Poll watchers will be able to watch election judges close down a polling place at the end of voting and then follow them to the designated county ballot drop-off location.
